One life.  One chance to make an impact on this planet, to allow our momentary presence to resonate throughout all eternity.  Once chance to let God take the reigns and steer us on this crazy journey that makes up our life’s story.  One opportunity to change the world.

This is what BigExistence.com is all about.  BigExistence.com is an online magazine geared towards those Christians who want to make a difference, who want their lives to count towards something bigger than themselves, something only God could do.  We want to provide our readers with meaningful content that will challenge them mentally and spiritually.  We want to provide material that will help them on their life’s journey with God, whatever they may be doing, wherever they may be going.

How do I become a user of BigExistence.com?

It’s easy.  Just click on the login button at the top left corner of any page.  It will get you to where you need to go.

Why do we require that everyone registers before they can make comments, and why don’t comments show up immediately?

Spam.  We get a ton of spam.  Both registering users and moderating comments allows us some control over the spam that can occur on a site like this.  We also want to be able to stop any vulger language that is sometimes used in the comment section.  State you opinion; state it proud.  We want to put it up.  We just ask that you watch your language. 

What do we believe?

God, the Triune

There is only one true God.  He is all-knowing and all-powerful.  He is the creator of the universe, author of life.  God has chosen to reveal Himself as a triune: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  All are one, and all are equally God.  To Him, we owe everything.

God the Father

The Father reigns over His entire universe.  He is all-knowing and all-powerful.  In His grace and love, He gave up His Son for all humanity so that those who believe in Him will have eternal life.

God the Son

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, both fully man and fully God.  He entered the world and took human form by being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.  While on this earth, He did and revealed the will of God.  He was without sin.  As a substitutionary sacrifice for mankind, Jesus Christ died on a cross and rose in three days, overcoming death’s snare on the world.  Soon after His resurrection, He ascended into heaven where He sits at the right hand of God.  Through our belief in Him, we my be reconciled with God.  One day, Jesus Christ will return in glory to judge and reign over all the earth.

The Bible

The Bible was written by men who were divinely inspired by God.  It is God’s message to all of mankind.  Since God is the ultimate author, its message is perfect, it is truth.  Because the Bible is truth, its instructions are to be followed until the end of time. 

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.  He guides men and women to truth.  He shapes believers in Christ to become the men women He so desires.  He inspires, convicts, and empowers.  He is the provider of spiritual gifts.  He draws those who have not put their faith in Christ to Him and enters into those who have.

The Church

The New Testament church is defined as both a local, autonomous congregation and as all Christians from every tribe and nation.  God has chosen the church as a means by which His will is to be carried out, and we are to operate as one body, with Christ as the head.
